If it's not something that happens in standard phpBB, we cannot help. Extensions are supported by their authors. We didn't write their code. It's like saying photoshop doesn't work on your PC but instead of asking Adobe why not, you decide to ask Microsoft.
Your issue was clearly caused by an extension, so that is the place you needed to be looking.
